Where to get Visas for clockwise West Africa Route?
Hi there -
Lots of info is available on where to get visas in western africa when travelling south, but where can they be obtained going north, if at all? Specifically, entering Ghana via ferry at Accra, then B-Faso, Mali, Mauritania, W-Sahara and Morocco. I'm particularly struggling to find info on a Mauritanian visa from a southerly neighbour. Is this possible? Many thanks, Martin. |
Mauritanian embassies
these are few and far between.
this is a good site to use: Embassies and Consulates Abroad Directory - EmbassiesAbroad.com the full name if you need to do further research is the 'Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania'. the best idea is to call the Embassy in London -or whichever is the best for your location - and ask. if you can get through! note also that the route heading North from Mauritania into Morroco (Western Sahara) is not a considered a 'legal' route by the Moroccans - although the other way -going South is OK..( ?) however, we know many who have travelled North and not had any problems....but that doesnt mean there wont be one........ |
