Africa Twin Japan-Guam
 

Hello everybody!

I'm in the Air Force stationed in Guam and I really want to get the Africa Twin. The good old TW200 just isn't cutting it anymore. I can't get the bike here and it's too expensive to ship one from the states.

So, I was thinking, Japan is three hours from here. I could grab a cheap flight and buy the Africa Twin from a dealer in Japan. From my understanding, the Africa Twin is $2000 cheaper in Japan as compared to the U.S.

The only problem....how do I get the bike back to Guam. I need a reliable shipper who can handle the process for me. Please help!

Before you start looking for a bike in Japan, you want to make sure you can register it Guam once you get it there. Once you have confirmed with the authorities that you can register it (don't just assume you can because the AT is sold in the USA too), search the HUBB for shippers. You will find some in past posts.
Don't know if the situation differs for Guam, but I hear it is real pain to ship to mainland USA due to various security measures implemented in the past few years.
