Air Freight to Dakar - Carnet?
 

Hello,

I currently have a shipping quote from someone who will ship the bike into Dakar for me and bring it through customs. They say a Carnet is not required, but highly recommended. We have a 2007 BMW X challenge and an 2011 KTM 690, anyone get away without it?

We would leave via Marituania within 5 days of the bikes arrival. This is the only time we might be able to use it so if I can get away without one I would love to.
