Anchorage Import Broker??

Hey guys, we are shipping our scooters from New Zealand to Anchorage, Alaska in a few weeks. We understand we will be required to use an "import broker" on arrival. Does anyone have any experience with this process who could shed some light on what is invloved, and more importantly, how much it cost?
Any help appreciated!
