Cape Town customs
 
hi all,
I am shipping my car to Cape Town in a 20'dv container (with CPD).
I contacted a company in Cape Town about container and customs clearing.
They told me that for my spare parts I will have to pay VAT and import tax and for used or 2'nd hand I will need special permission.
They also told me that I am not allowed to ship and foor (even dried or in cans) or any medicine (malarone in my case).

Anyone having any recent experience with customs in CT?
Anyone can confirm this?

Contact Duncan at African Overlanders based very close to Cape Town.
He knows very well about this regards, he is a traveler, his setup is basically an overlander campsite, and is very involved on shipping.

For sure he can help at least with good advice!!
