How are moto travelers crossing crossing from Panama to Colombia, now that the Stahlratte is no longer in service?

Also, like this:

Nice to see that this way is open again!
We 4x4 travelers are more than jaelous - because we didnt have that option for the darian gap! Surfy |

Back to bikes - the other widely used option has been to fly them across the Gap. |

Sure, but then you wouldn't have gone the whole way on the "surface". ;)

I had a good laugh .... first time I saw a YT video about the next part of my journey ... like watching an online tutorial to bake a cake .... she did a very good job getting her 300 Honda to Panama :thumbup1::thumbup1: ... and documenting it :thumbup1::thumbup1: all the boats she used looked good and solid and the crews more or less capable of getting her bike (or my 650) to Panama more or less safely. The tricky part is the loading, but I have done a lot worse boats, canoes and rafts in Africa with me not speaking a word of the language they speak. But first I will look for a sailboat, as I have started to sail last year. mika :mchappy: |
