Ferry from Florida to Yucatan?
 

I hear word that a ferry will be available from Florida to the Yucatan Peninsula some time in 2017. Does anybody know of any current ferry-type service/ cargo boat that will take passengers and uncrated bikes from Florida or other coastal states to the Yucatan Peninsula. I am really not keen on crating up our stuff in the middle of a trip. I'd rather just pop onto a passenger/car ferry and float on over. Having to go through Cuba would be cool too.

The short answer is no: not to Cuba, not to the Yucatan. If someone knows better, I'm happy to hear more about it. And if you've heard "word," can you offer us a source?
