Girag to Bogota Cash only?
 

Hi Everyone!

Currently in Mexico City making my down through Central America and then planning on air shipping Bikeopotamus, my R12GSA and me to Bogota via Girag.

I'm a beginner, so go easy on me...bier

Can I charge my flight and shipping to a major credit card or do I have to pay cash? What about washing dishes in exchange? :)

I tried emailing Girag, but the links to the Girag offices at Tocumen Airport and Bogota appear to be dead.:thumbdown:

ps-Ride so far has been excellent. Started in Los Angeles on Oct 1 and lots of adventures so far...

Cash only. It won't do any good to contact Girag in advance--won't gain you anything, won't inform you, won't speed the process or grease the wheels. Just show up, cash in hand.

I exchanged emails with Xenia (xenia.jurado@girag.com.pa) and she was decently responsive. Moto shipping is cash only and there might also be a $25 delivery fee on pick-up. That's what I had to pay in Medellin from Girag ($902 as well). Plan ahead with your ATM withdrawals in Panama since most people have a $400/day AND a $1000/week limit.
