How to get bike to Sofia or Istanbul from UK

Hi Everyone I'm looking for some help or advice.
Next year, 2016, around May or June-I'm looking to find a way to transport my bike from the UK to either Sofia or Istanbul.
I'm looking for the most cost-effective way of doing it-
(BMW GS 1200 A )
any ideas or advice ?

Ride it.

If you have a car .. it may well be cheaper to transport it compared to the bike.

I can't answer your question but will say make it Sofia rather than Istanbul as it is in the EU and getting a bike into Turkey without the owner present is not so straightforward.
