Ireland to Morocco
I'm planning a post Xmas trip to Morocco.
Before I get buried in online research, what do you guys think is the cheapest possible way to get the bike and I as far south as possible to avoid cold weather. Thanks in advance. WW |
You'll be aware already that the cost of ferries is against us, on first appearances. However, when the distance "not run" in fuel/overnight accommodation etc is taken into account then the ferry pricing becomes more reasonable, especially if you can share the costs of a cabin with someone else on the longer crossings.
A useful tool for finding options is:- Direct Ferries - Ferry Crossings UK to Ireland, France, Spain, Holland and more Click on any of the countries in the map on the home page and you will see all of the ferry routes currently available for that country. Cheapest? A van packed with as many bikes as possible in the back and as many folks as possible up front (or the extra riders fly out and meet you there but still contribute to the van fuel costs) + camping on the side of the road or in a Formule 1 with most riders sleeping on the room floor. |
