Mongolia --> Australia Sea Freight
Hi There - I will arrive in Mongolia at the end of August 2017 from Europe. I'll be travelling home to Australia after that and would like to get my bike shipped there. I don't really mind how long it will take and am mainly interested in minimising cost, so I assume sea freight is the best option?
Does anyone have any contacts that have organised sea freight shipping from Mongolia to Australia? Air freight is quick but expensive, I recognize that sea freight will have a long road journey first. Thanks! Jason |
You have to get to Vladivostok. I should be there at the same time and with quite a similar plan. We could share a container. From where are you getting to Mongolia?

I'll be riding from the UK with a friend. At present we only have single entry visa for Russia, so would have to change that to get to Vlad. Do you know how long the ride is from ulaanbataar to Vlad?
Sharing a container would be great - as i mentioned there will be 2 of us so could make it even cheaper. |
It's about 4000km. I'd say it takes about a week. As far as I know it should be paved road all the way at least on the Russian side.
