NZ to Chile by air advice sought
 

Hi All,

On behalf of clients I am seeking advice on airfreight of two Yamaha Teneres from Auckland, New Zealand to Chile and the possibility of flights on the same plane in April/May 2010.

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Air Freight to Chile
 

Dear Dave,

I just air freighted my bike from Sydney to Santiago with LanChile which flies through Auckland. I have purged the fuel tanks and removed the battery to be able to avoid Dangerous Goods shipment. This saved 2000 AUD !

I need to buy a new battery in Chile though. The purging and battery removal I had certifed by a licensed garage for 50 AUD.

The cost of shipment was total 3400 AUD, but does not include any cost in Chile. The crate size is 2 m (L) x 1.25 m (H) x 1m (W) = 420 kg chargable, actual weight is 325 kg. The bike will fly on the same plane with me.
