Panama to Cape Town
 

Cant say I've ever asked for advice on the HUBB - but here goes!
Simon and I are heading back to Africa - we need to do air freight from Panama to Cape Town, South Africa.
Any advice out there? ...and yes, it does have to be Panama.

Cargo Flight - two motorbikes two years ago Panama to Cape Town
 

"Best" deal I could find two years ago: Two motorbikes, Panama City to Buenos Aires, then BA to Cape Town. It was soooooo expensive I bagged the idea, could have bought a new BMW in Cape Town for the cost of air cargo shipping of only one motorbike. Part was Lufthansa Air Cargo, and may have been BA to Frankfort then on to Cape Town. Other part unknown carrier(s). Crate with approved wood required, another pricey element. Also required Carnet into South Africa.
Plan B was to only send motorcycle body work to Cape Town (not gas tanks), buy same motorbike there and change body work, known as ride to races tips and tricks. Used to do that tip with my race bike and street bike in the 70's, using postal service :-) Bagged that trick too.

So free advice from "out there."
