port customs clearance cape town
Hi there,
We just shipped our bikes from Malaysia to Cape Town where they will arrive in the port a few weeks later. We received a quote from a SA shipper that the clearance will be over 12.000 Rand for 2 bikes, that's about 1200 euros doh wow! We thought this is way too much money. Does anyone have good experiences with shippers or did it themselves? Any advice is welcome, cheers, Els Two for the Road |
It is four years since I shipped my bike to Cape Town and it was much less than that, less than 200 euros if I remember rightly. I have tried to find details from my note book and all I have is the agent'sname, Deon, and the phone number 021-5119366, no idea if this number still works but you might like to try it.
Good luck |
Thanks Mark! We have send them an email to get a quote....
hope it will turn out as you say :thumbup1: cheers Els |
