Port Fees in Galveston, TX ?
 

Hi all,
I'm looking for info on the port fees for Galveston. We're looking at RoRo shipping our Toyota 4Runenr from Santos (Sao Paulo), Brazil.

We have a good quote from Wallenius Wilhelmsen, for other readers, it's about US$550 in freight (again, this is roro, but under the deck), and about $550 n port fees in Santos. But I haven't been able to get port fees on the arrival port. And there were no shipping reports that listed Galveston. I'm worried this is because of the high fees, which I know is the case in nearby Houston.

Just answered my own question. Another traveler sending a van RoRo said they paid $228 for a wharfage fee, handling fee, and customs xrays in Galveston.

Also they warned that the port and the customs office were more than 45 minutes apart and that public transport was non-existent. They shipped about a month ago.
