Shipping Australia to India
 

Anyone got any contacts for shipping a bike from either cairns or Brisbane to India, likely Mumbai. I have requested a few quotes but never hear back from anyone. All info much appreciated. Arriving in India May 2015 and over landing back to Europe.

For Mumbai the sea port is is district called "Navi Mumbai" this is a area across a bridge from the main part of Mumbai.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Port, also known as Nhava Sheva, is the largest container port in India. Located south west of Mumbai in Maharashtra. This port is also the terminal of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor proposed by Indian Railways.


There are many and varied reports on finding good agents for this port. I am still checking things out. my at the moment is to find a good Australian shipping agent and explain you want to know what the far end port duties and fees are in advance!

Hate to be negative but DO NOT USE Bikes Abroad. I had a very negative experience with these guys shipping my bike to South America.

Hi i plan to ride the raid de himalaya in October 2018 and ride around india and surrounds.
Has anyone shipped tbeir bike to india either from eastern states or WA.
I am Australian with indian OCI. Has anyone accomplished this? Cheers Madhu
