Shipping bike from Scotland to Montevide or Santiago
 

Hi All!

I am looking forward to ride around South America so I need to send my bike from Scotland to Montevideo or Santiago depending on the costs. Would also open to hear advice for air freight if any rider have had the experience. I have very few days to prepare the bike in the Scotland or UK so would need a plan that is straight forward.

Also consider sending to Cartagena, Colombia. I haven't shipped bikes, but have shipped a van from US to and from Colombia.

You can also try Overland Embassy that is located in Panama City. They do a lot of airfrieght motorcycles between N and S America, and may have ideas.

I used Moto Freight (based near Heathrow) to fly my bike to Santiago recently. They were brilliant and the whole process couldn't have been easier. I took my bike, kit and luggage to their depot and left it for them to pack and crate. They did everything. The bike arrived in Santiago on schedule, the day after I did, I collected it from the airport and rode off. Couldn't recommend them enough.
