Info will be much appreciated Haakon |
Hi Haakon
M&M Transport logistics services M&M Militzer & Münch - M&M Group I shipped motorbikes with'em three times (Uzbekistan-Zürich, Ulaanbaatar-Vancouver, Miami-Zürich) They have an office in Ulaanbaatar and a very good network in the northern hemisphere. Mrs. Bayarkhuu M&M International Forwarders Representative Office Ar Mongol Travel Building, Room #402 Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia Tel/Fax: +976 11 318390 Mobile: +976 9901 5349 www.mumnet.com She made a great job and it was also cheaper than Tuskiin(or similar) which is the most famous Freight forwarder in Ulaanbaatar. Good luck |

Prices Mumnet
Well,
From UB to Vancouver I paied $2700 (crating excluded). That's a hell lot of money but UB is a shitty place to ship something to Canada. I remember Tuuskin, the most famous freight-forwarder in UB was about $300 or $400 more expensive. I'm sure it is cheaper to fly a bike to europe. From Tashkent (Uzbekistan) zu Zürich I paied about $1900 (crating included). They had to fly it Tashkent-Prag-Munich-Zürich. From Miami to Zürich I paied $1600 (crating excluded) Those prices were all inclusive and for Airfreight. The box was everytime about 350kg. Of course you well ship your bike much cheaper, if you find somebody to share a container with. I couldn't finde someone and I didn't have the time to search much longer.. Wish you good luck and cheap shipping.. Glenn Quote:

A similar thread is at http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...zakhstan-60406 including my reply ref the Pain-In-The-Arse-ness of shipping TO Mongolia.
Ref shipping FROM Mongolia to Europe I got the following info via an email from PanEuropa in mid-2011 Quote Rates import from Ulan Bator to Germany for bikes packed into strong wooden cases stackable Outgoing customs in Ulan Bator 55,- Euro Freight Ulan Bator - Tamm (Germany) 375,- Euro per cubimetre Incoming customs clearance 85,- Euro incl. 1 customs tariff number and each further 9,- Euro Customs inspection 65,- Euro Limited cover transport insurance 1,45% Oncarriage to Leeds 375,- Euro Unquote This is for land/sea freight. So about e700 to Germany for 2 m3 plus customs fees. I recall somebody else got a pallet made in UB for e200. Hope this info is useful. Chris PS I live near Leeds/UK PPS I'm shipping my bike this year with 11 mainly Dutch guys to Almaty/Kaz: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...zachstan-60688 |
