Shipping from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Ankara, Turkey??
How would one go about shipping a bike this distance but for the least amount of money? I have time on my side for this (over 3 months) because I won't arrive in Turkey until the end of April but I really need to send this bike to Ankara for my trip.
I am under the assumption that sending it by air is the only method but wish I could send it overland and then overseas on long time freight because I assume that would be far more inexpensive. In any case, any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. |
we have done this before last year together with a cooperation with dhl. door to door to japan, canada , australia and about 15 days later will deliver 2 bikes to cape town.
musts of the box.:no battery in the box, tyres air pressure completely reduced, no oil no gasoline according to IATA rules. The price we have paid for istanbul-cape town is 1900 euros. dimensions were 120 x 70 x 210 and 363 kg. You can get your price from local DHL. office. Also you can use our club garage and tools free of charge to get your motor ready to ride. We are just 10 far from istanbul atatürk airport. Wish you all the best. |
Thanks very much for your response. I will look into that :D
I may talk to you soon as I am thinking of shipping to Istanbul after all :) Cheers, Will |
