Shipping/flying a bike from Dakar to Europe
 

Hi,
I'm planning to ship or fly my bike out of Dakar, Senegal. I live in sweden, so to get it anywhere close to Sweden would be good but anywhere in Europe would e fine. Has anybody done it? Any advice on companies? Prices? Any countries nearby where it is possible to ship/fly it?

Might be worth trying grimaldi lines. They ship from Dakar to EU. I think you might still be able to go on the boat with your bike if that's your thing

AFAIK Grimaldi boats even when they touch port at Dakar, didn’t take or leave passengers there. Also they use to hold only 12 people as maximum and you have to book with them long time in advance…
Emirates and South African Airways have cargo planes working there, I bet Air France too; ask them if they or a recommended forwarder can manage your bike shipment. Even than is closer prices will be around the same than from South Africa…
