Shipping from Japan back to the UK
 

Has anyone any experience of shipping from Tokyo back to the UK? The bike can take a very long time but i'm looking for a cost effective solution. Its the end of my journey. I was considering the ferry to Vlad and then rail / road transport back - see my post below.

Further, in bringing the bike in from Vlad to Tokyo, would it be impossible to sell it there?

Pretty much impossible. You import temporarily under a carnet, so you have to re-export or loose your carnet deposit. The bike couldn't be registered here, so you would probably not find anyone willing to buy it.

There are posts on the HUBB listing shipping companies. Try a search, and you will probably find them.
