Shipping Landy from UK to Houston.
 

Hi Overlanders.

We are planning a trip in our Landy next April to Houston and then down through Central and South America. Has anyone got any tips about he best shipper and method please?

I guess we will have to trans-ship from Panama to Columbia as well.

There is a ro-ro ferry between Southampton, Canada and the US. It is vehicle only and I have used it to ship a bike to Halifax NS in Canada, this company run the ferry but you will need to find an agent to handle it.

From what I understand temporarily importing a vehicle into the US via a port can be a bureaucratic pain and it is easier to ship to Canada and drive across the border.
