Shipping from Singapur, KL or BKK to America march 2012
 

Hi there,

After 15 month travelling overland from France to Malaysia, I go back to my country for a 3 months break. My idea is to come back Malaysia february 2012 and ship my bike to America in March. Anywhere in America !

I'm looking for an easy and cheap way to do that. Can you give me any advice about this shipping, or someone is on the same route and would like to share part of the cost ... ?

Mohamed will take care of all your stuff. I sent my bike from Port Klang to Buenos Aires some six months ago. No problem at all, he takes care of the crating and the paperwork and understands bikers.

Can you tell me how long it took for the bike to arrive in Buenos Aires from Port Klang, how easy it was to clear the custom there and how much you had to pay everything included...

I wish I could remember the cost. I really can't remember, but have in mind that costs will duplicate in Argentina for sure: whatever you pay in Malaysia is only half of your expenses. It took 45 days to get to Buenos Aires from Port Klang. The procedure in Argentina was tedious but simple, you just have to wait in quite a few lines and deal with ridiculous guys in the custom department for two full days. Mohammed will recommend you a clearing agent, Mr. Avila, they work fairly well and wwill guide you through the absurd process.
