Shipping to Suriname

I've tried PMing Kito here a few times but I've not ever got a response.

I want to ship my bike from the UK, Belgium, or Netherlands, to Suriname, but all the companies I've contacted so far only ship or fly to Buenos Aires, Quito, or Bogota, and the quotes have been in the region of £1800 one way.

Which companies are known to ship to Suriname? Does anyone have any contact details or specific contacts of companies that ship to Suriname.

Thanks

ok for a little feed back if it is of any use to anybody. i ended up shipping me bike from Suriname to Amsterdam. I used a company in Paramaribo called N.V.Global Experdition. I shipped my yamaha Xt 600 with no crate and the panniers still on . I only disconected the battery buy my own choice. it was all verry easy in Suriname .

cost in suriname

ocean freight $80 m3 x2
loading $15 x2
customs visitation $7 x2
customs clearance $125
BL fee $35

cost in netherland
customs clearance $122.18
handling charges $45.82
unloading $76.36 x2
laatvolgen $30.55

grand total $727.82 SRD$ 2074.29 €495.66
the x2 is because it was 2 m3 it was measured at 3.2 m3 but i told them if it was in a box it would be 2 m3 . so they let me have the cheeper price. it was all good service in Suriname but it was slow clearing customs in Holland

04/05/12 I shipped a BMW G650x from my house in the northwest of England to Suriname . My bike was collected from my house on a 7.5 ton drop tail truck and delivered to the port of Suriname by a company called K&L Freight LTD
My bike was crated this time . The crate was 1.33 cbm . The cost from my house to Suriname was £379.00 and in Suriname I used integra marine &freight services to release my shipment and clear customs for me . They charged SRD348.50 so something like £80
Hope that's of help to someone sorry for the late reply

Dont think that k and l freight ship for individuals anymore as I called them now long ago regarding shipping a bike and they said they only deal with businesses

Worth having a ring around as I did have a quote of £180 from Ipswich to Suriname but that wasn't ideal for me at the time. Sorry I don't have the name of the firm . I wish I did as the guy there was supper helpfull and gave me lots of good tips on things to ask other shipping agents

Wow £180. I'd happily pay 3 times that if I go from Ipswich or somewhere in East Anglia. I'm based in Norwich.

The odd thing is I work for a DHL company and should get 50% but trying to find someone at DHL who can help isn't easy.

I have used a firm in Suriname called global expedition. They charged 495 euro all in for my xt 600 uncreated with metal panniers fitted. The staff in Suriname was great but the Dutch guy should have learnt how to talk to customers or got his teeth smashed in .luckily he was on holiday when I went there office but other staff there was helpfull once they had a kick up the ass
