To Ship or buy?

Gday,

I am heading to Europe next year for at least 3 months, maybe more if my Mrs gets her Maltese passport> The question is, should I ship my 1200 GS over or buy a bike in the UK?

Looking to fly into London (visit youngest daughter) and ride the (a) bike down to Malta (visit oldest daughter). At the moment my quotation for shipping my 1200 GS to Uk is approx $3500.00

Any advice would be most welcome!

to ship or buy

Thanks Ta-rider for the offer! We may be settling in Malta so will need a bike whilst I stay there for future rides etc.

I have hooked up with Motorworks in the UK and it is no problem getting a bike, I also have an address in London where I can register it. The problem is I cannot insurance as I have been advised this is not possible for non UK residents.

any ideas?:(

Read the forum about "trip paperwork".
The word "insurance" means different things to different folks.

And check out the service that Wheatwhacker offers (see the previous post).
