UK guy thinking about buying a bike in Thailand
 

Hi all,
Currently sat in Mongolia looking at some options.

One is to make my way to Thailand and buy a local small cc bike and wander my way down to OZ.

so is it easy or what ???

Hi Will,

we did the same last summer: We sold our bikes in Mongolia and asked ourself: What now? We decided to fly to SEAsia and to buy small bikes there. But where? All information we found on the web seemed to be contradictory and confusing.

We ended up buying bikes in Malaysia since its super easy and all legal.

How hard was it to sell your bike in Mongolia?

After coming off mine on Russian roads I dont think I ever want to ride thru Russia again !!

Hi Will,

selling the bikes in Mongolia was easy, we sold them to 2 Australian ex pads. They handled all the paperwork. We left the country before without any problems.
