Uk to Mongolia
 

In 2015 I have one of those birthdays, not that it is important, only really to use it to set a date. A group of 6 of us are looking to go to Mongolia, time constraints and the type of bike ( something like a 400 or 600 ) are one of the biggest issues. We need a way to transport 6 bikes either to Mongolia, or somewhere in Russia which is a reasonable, but not silly distance to travel.
I have just started to look at this trip and would appreciate anyone's input.
My own initial thoughts were to enter Mongolia on its western border, then use the Northern route to get to Ulaanbaatar, then (not sure where next) work our way back. So the bikes would start at a point and return to that point. My own personal preference would not to start and finish in Ulaanbaatear as I am not a city person, but I do see places like this as being a good place to be say half way through the trip.
Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Sambor goes regularly from EU to BISHKEK in Kyrgyzstan. From Bishkek you can take a normal road to Russia in 4 days riding or so... Just an idea...
