USA to Africa shipping bike? cheapest way/place?
 

maybe, if I ever leave, I should begin in Africa from USA?Where from / to would be the cheapest route? I was thinking to ride to east coast USA, then ship to South Africa, but anyone got any suggestions / contacts?

I looked at the same option and shipping to South Africa is pretty expensive , you can ship to Spain or France for way less money . Shipping to North Africa is expensive too and the flight for yourself will be also very costly .

Ahh?, but then its west coast of Africa first. Morocco is Ok, but what about the countries south of there? Its an idea though, a loop down west coast, back up east coast.

You could try SAA cargo. flights everyday out of JFK and DC.

On my way next week to JFK from Johannesburg on an SAA flight with the bike on the same flight.

Not required to crate etc, disconnect battery, 1/3rd of a tank of fuel allowed.

At the current exchange rate cost was around $1K for the bike.
