Catalytic Converter remove or not to remove
Does anyone have any experience in how the Catalytic Converter on the Triumph Tiger 800xc runs in low octane or high altitude areas and would it be better to remove it.

Low Octane (80) the bike runs completely normal, though of course a slight drop in mileage.
We had troubles starting the bike at 2700 metres though my suspicion is the cause was the stepper motor and dirty air filter rather than anything else. |
I removed mine on my Triumph; I would recommend getting a Tuneboy Tuner if you do to dial in the motor.

Tune ECU is the similar freeware version TuneECU_Start and does just a good job as tuneboy & isn`t tied to 1 ECU For a demo on how Tune ECU works see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hE2GnnqWWE |
Ya it may be tuned to 1 bike, but you can buy a 2nd key for it. Tuneboy works!jeiger
