Additional moderators
Hi Grant,
I just picked this idea from another forum I frequent. and I thought this will help to take some load off your heads. Have a look at this forum - Team-Bhp.com. This is the most popular Indian automotive / forum website with tons of information and a strong fan following. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/collec...s-quality.html Maybe looking at how they tend to moderate their forum will give you a few pointers to take some more load off yoru heads, The Main superAdmin GTO has a few members with moderator priviliges ( deleting / editing / removing offensive content / spam ) posts etc. And the moderators are fairlyy active there which keeps the forum in a check and in right direction / avoids similar topics being reposted by other members etc. for example I posted a link to a joke there , which I didn't know already existed in the forum. The moderator then promptly closed my thread and pointed to the original thread. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...n-traffic.html Considering the number of users they tend to manage the forum very well, not to say that HUBB is not managed well. But just thought that maybe we can take some good things form how they manage, and probably help you take some load off your heads. Red Bull |
Hi,
Thanks for the info. They've done a nice job on the site. I'll have to spend some time cruising it! :) We already do much the same - we have some moderators of specific forums and a few "Super Moderators" who can moderate any forum, from deleting offensive/spam posts to just helping people out. And I find many of those in our Community take the time to send me an email if there is a problem anytime. Any specific ideas on how we can improve are much appreciated! thanks again, all the best, |
