IE9 can't post on the HUBB
NOTE: If you are using IE9 and get a message: "Post is too short" - it's not the message, it's vBulletin not happy with IE9.
There is a cure: Go to tools menu (alt-T if it's hidden) and click "Compatibility View". The page will reload - or you may have to go back to the forum you were posting in - and it should work fine. You can tell if it will work or not by two easy things to spot: 1. This box when trying to post will be white, not grey 2. click the up/down arrows to the left of the A/A button top right just above the smilies list - if this white box lengthens you're good to go - if not, you're not. Try checking the Tools / Compatibility item on the IE9 menu We are upgrading the HUBB, and it should be ready to go very very soon - and hopefully we'll have the bug fixed then. |
