i hate those things as well better use simple text calculation tasks such as "Please enter what is 1 + 3?" or please enter the word help

And what's your point? And more importantly, where do you as a regular user see it? It should only be on registration.

NO ONE including me likes any verification method, but if you could see all the spam we get you'd understand why we have to do something!
