1970 350 Aermacchi
 

Hello all, am new to this so be patient with me. I am putting a 1970 Aermacchi 350SS basket case back together and noticed a small hole right beside the countershaft bearing on the right crankcase. Is there anyone out there who knows if this small hole is supposed to be there? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got a picture? My first street bike was a 350 Sprint, but that was over 30 years ago now, so I'm not sure if my wilted brain cells will remember much. Where in Texas are you? Oh yeah, welcome to HU.

No, no picture as of yet. Just went through it all and started cleaning it up and noticed the small hole. I don't think it's supposed to be there, just not sure. I live west of San Antonio about 90 miles, beautiful Texas Hill Country.
