So excited to have found this site. My man and I are planning on going to Europe next spring and staying for the summer. We want to see as many country's as possible. We can only do this if we have a trailer behind the bike and camp. We are in the USA and we are overwhelmed with all the options there are. Do we ship our Harley and trailer over. Fly them over. Renting is way to expensive . Buy then sell back to a dealer ( read a trailer will void a warranted bike) buy from the public and sell back. Buy a Gold wing here and sell it and if we can't just leave it. What have others found the best? Is tent camping doable in most of Europe?

The ship v buy debate is quite well covered here and the answer often depends on how long your trip is for, if you decide to buy Ireland is a popular choice although the UK should also be easy except getting insurance there can be a problem.
Not all countries allowed motorcycles to tow a trailer, you certainly can in the UK but there are size limitations of a total width of 1 metre and 2.5 metres from the centre of the rear wheel to the rear of the trailer, many trailers in the US look larger than that.
Camping is very popular all over Europe with a wide variety of sites from basic to every facility you could want with prices to suit.
