I'll give you a brownie point if you can guess where I'm from :-)

First up my compliments to Grant and Susan for creating such a wonderful and useful resource.

Apart from the obvious reasons for joining HU I'm also here to learn how I can improve my recording of the journey. I've found the Photo Forum and will explore it thoroughly but what about writing? Sadly I'll never be a good writer but as I've read blogs that are not well written and yet far more interesting than my own effort I reckon I can aspire to be at least slightly more interesting ... not so much for others but for myself down the track. I should also re-learn my gramma (she's upstairs watching tele). Is there a forum or thread with advice about documenting/writing?

Also, if anyone has the time to constructively critique my blog at http://build.adventureriders.com.au/ ... would be greatly appreciated as I have a lot to learn.

And. incidentally where do I find the 'Disable Smilies' option when posting. I think I'm having a senior moment with this one.

Best way to get rid of smilies is to use Firefox + Adblock and then you can create a filter that stops all the images being displayed. Makes for a far more relaxing browsing experience.

Might need a few more clues to guess your origin.
For instance - do you own an Akubra hat? If so then you are 99% likely to be from the USA trying to satisfy the Australian entrance requirements.
