Hello from Georgia!
Nope, not the Eurasian Georgia, the "Hey Y'all" Georgia in Southeastern, US. :smartass:
Happy to be here on the site! I just finished a ride throughout Alaska on a rented BMW 650GS over 2 weeks as my first off-road experience. I survived the Dalton Highway and got to tour around the Kenai Peninsula. I am currently planning a trip back to Alaska in March to stay with a couple I met on the Dalton and they've offered to take me on my first snowmachine trip! I can't wait! :freezing: I've been doing long distance riding for the past few years after "retiring" from trackdays on my red, white, and blue "Captain America" '93 Yamaha FZR600. I inherited my username back when I purchased my FZR as I promised I would keep the bike as close to stock as it currently was and would continue on the "Captain America" legacy. My first long distance trip was an 8 day, 5,200 mile trip from Atlanta to Nova Scotia and back on my 2002 Yamaha YZF600 just so I could tent camp on the Cabot Trail. :Beach: I'm looking forward to planning more long distance rides and hopefully doing some multi-continent rides in the future! I still haven't seen most of the US, so my short-term goal is to ride in all 50 states (of which, I've ridden in 20 states so far). :mchappy: I'm hoping to attend the HU Event in North Carolina in September and look forward to meeting other HU members there and throughout my travels! :thumbup1: Tiff |
Hi Tiff and welcome,
If there is anything you need to know there is probably someone here who knows it. Check put the communities as well, they are a great source of advice and information about specific places. Mark |
Thanks Mark! Looking forward to learning more and getting more seat time!
