Hello from Perth, Australia
Hi everyone,
Just joined and introducing ourselves from Perth, Western Australia. What trips have I done? Thousands commuting daily over years and years on about 8 bikes. No, what BIG trips? Sorry, I thought an hours commute was a big trip. :confused1: No BIG trips yet. Seriously though, after giving the bikes away about 6 years ago, we are planning on doing a 12 month round Australia camping trip. 1 bike two-up. Lot's of time, no pressure, cruising a few hours a day as there's no rush. No serious off-road adventures planned but Australia's roads will decide that. Mainly sealed road. Isn't it the journey that's important? No current bike but thinking MG Stelvio 1200 8V (love the 32L tank), MG California 1400 Tourer, BMW R1200R or V-Strom 1000 ABS. With a trailer for camping gear. Anyway, we are going to the Perth, Australia, HU event at Fairbridge in October so hope to meet a few people there. :palm: Thank you to Grant and Susan for making this meeting place possible. |
few inmates in Perth. Sure they'll make you feel welcome.
I like the 'idea' of the Stelvio. Very classy bike- limited for off-road, but since that's not your aim, it'll be the perfect headturner. :thumbup1: |
I'll be passing thru Perth sometime in the next 2 months... I'm sure we can get a few locals together for a HU mini meet.
|
Have a look at "Perth Motorbike & Sidecar Riders" on Find your people - Meetup
They get together at least once a week for a dinner run or similar. Some of the members are HU members as well. |
Thanks...
Thanks Squily and Scootergal.
Nice to 'meet' you. Scootergal, message me when in Perth. Cheers Paul |
