Hello From Surrey UK
Hello Everyone,
My name is Ray and I have been a long time reader and admirer of the people on this site…..Hopefully I will soon join your fearless lot with an adventure of my own…. Well the planning for a trip from the UK to Australia in spring 2015 is gathering pace…. I thought I’d try to do this trip on a more road oriented bike so have bought a Honda Deauville which I’m modifying now…… I look forward to interacting with you all in the future. Keep safe and stay shiny side up….. |
Hi Ray
We did Oz to UK back in 2011. The whole 15,000 miles could have been done on any road bike except for parts of the KKH in Pakistan. Which route you planning? I know a couple who are doing a RTW trip on a Goldwing and met a guy who took a Harley down the KKH when the road was worse than when we were there. Everything is possible!! Cheers |
Hello Kateandwill,
WOW you guys have done the trip but in reverse, I bow before you…. I haven’t heavily planned that part of the trip yet. I was thinking of going over KKH but at the moment it seem unstable and possibley quite dangerous but will see closer to the time…… I guess the highlight of my trip would be to ride up to Everest base camp and this would be fairly off road all though doable just a lot slower… I have seen your site and the pictures are awesome…. What are you up to now??? bier |
Deauville mods

Hopefully one day I will also join the 'Fearless lot' |
Hello Weewards,
So Far the main mod to the Deauville are a set of custom alloy panniers, Hepco & Becker crash guard and also a Hagon rebuild-able shock, aux wiring harness for additional electrical requirements and a few smaller mods like extending the rear mud guard to stop the rear wheel throwing mud onto the shock…..There are others planned but at the moment the above is taking up my time…. |
