Hello all.
Having been recently widowed I've decided that life is short and that opportunities should be grasped whenever available. My husband and I often toured Europe together but this year I've signed up to tour America and Canada, shipping my own KTM out there. It's labelled as being a 'once in a lifetime trip' however, I doubt very much that it'll happen only once, when I've been bitten by the bug.

Welcome Jo, I'm from the Midlands as well and while a fine region in many ways, I do find it a bit drab and suffocating, which probably explains the desire to get away as often as possible :)

Sorry to hear about your recent loss, but great to see you're getting out there and travelling the world. And you're quite right about the travel bug.

Hi Senno, Thanks for the 'welcome' :) and good to connect with local folk as well as those far away. I'm really looking forward to seeing the world beyond Europe and will no doubt share my travel pics, as I'm always keen to see other people's fascinating stories/pictures too.
