Hey from Honduras!
Hello everyone-
I'm Greg from Honduras. I'm actually from the USA, but have been teaching English in Honduras for the past 2 years. I have been riding for 4 years, mostly sportbikes, and just recently started riding dual-sport bikes..mostly out of necessity in this country. I have a Honda 250 and have been riding around Honduras with it for a few years. If anyone wants some info about the country let me know. I'm happy to help. Honduras has a very bad reputation for being extremely dangerous and, unfortunately, it can be. But there are many BEAUTIFUL places in this country and if you're smart, you can travel most of the country without problems. Obligatory pic of the bike below. It does't go too fast, but it's durable! Notice the custom milk crate mod. :thumbup1: http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/a...C/IMG_1362.jpg |
Honduras in July
Hey Talus, firstly welcome to HU. I'm planning to travel through Honduras in July. Currently in Mexico and will stop in Guatemala for a month to do a Spanish course, then El Salvador and up to Honduras. If you are still there would love to get some information of places to visit and ride.

Are you going to Xela, quetzalcastenango, for your language school? I was there for a month in 2013.
I'm leaving Honduras on July 2nd actually. Sorry, but I'll miss you. But I can point you in the right direction. |
Nothing booked yet re the language schools so will check them out when I arrive. I can send a link of my route through Honduras and would like your feedback.

Sure, I'll take a look.
I went to ICA in Xela. It was fantastic. |
Honduras
Welcome to HU. I've visited Honduras many times since 2004, mostly in the area around Yuscaran and El Paraiso. But I've also been to Tela and a few areas on the north coast. It's a great country with wonderful people.

Thanks Jim. Yes, it's a wonderful country. Really a shame about the darker side of the country. Paraiso is gorgeous. I was working there for a few years before moving a little north.
