Hi folks, have only just found HU: wish I had stumbled across it a while ago. Have done a number of Western European trips over the years but will be setting off in a few days for Western Turkey...small beer compared with some of the journeys recorded here but for a man of advanced years, I'm embarrassingly excited :D

I ride a BMW R1200GS which is blissfully comfortable compared with the Sports Tourers I had for years (e.g. VFR, Sprint).

Hi Mate, good luck with your trip. keep us up to date with your progress. I lived in Turkey for a while and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I'm embarrassingly envious.
