Hi Jay
Got a zxr 900 street fighter not the ideal touring bike hoping to change it end of this year beginning of next possibly a triumph explorer. What about you? |
People have done tours on odder bikes than a ZXR - someone recently went round the world on a pretty standard Triumph Rocket 3 cruiser through I suspect that may be more comfortable than a ZXR for that sort of journey.
To reflect what an old man I am I have an airhead BMW R80. Not GS or anything fancy, just a plain R80. It is coming up to 33 years old but it has only 27000 miles on it as it was laid up for 13-14 years until May last year. My plan is to go to Egypt on the bike going scuba diving in as many different seas as possible - I think my count is eight (English Channel, Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, Marmaris, Black, Caspian and Red Seas with a possible side trip to the Persian Gulf). Why? I enjoy motorbikes, travel and scuba diving so why not combine them? I won’t be in a rush so I can take my time and enjoy the trip. |
Hello,welcome

Mines not quite as old as yours it's only 27. Sounds like a fantastic trip good luck with it.
Hi croobum welcome to you too :welcome: |
27? Spring chicken! I had forgotten that ZXR’s came from so long ago - Ias that the bike that has the “Ram Air” ducts on it? And if so, do they really work or was it marketing spiel?
