One more frenchie on da roadz of da world
Hi everyone,
I'm Greg, 30 years old (for 9 more days) and, as the title says, a french man. I live near Paris but I am more often abroad for work, in Bretagne to meet friends or to enjoy sailing :cool4: or anywhere else riding my bikes. Yes, my bikes, that's what brought me here. One is currently in maintenance for a long time, and maybe some mods... She's an old beemer :mchappy: But I just bought another one yesterday !! :D She's a petite beauty from european breed and is eager for twisty tarmac... well she's a Duke 690. But now, I have to step up to her expectations and satisfy her with the more twisties I can find and I intend to do so all around Europe. So here I am, lurking for every bit of info you people kindly share and hopefully find fellow riders for happy encounters along the road. My plans for the year to come are a trip to Scotland of 10-14 days this summer and maybe a 15-20 days trip around the Adriatic sea this fall. I will create threads in the appropriate forums about those plans. I would also be happy to host fellow riders in the south suburb of Paris when I'm home, which is quite rare... Ciao Greg |
Soyez la bienvenue parmi nous!
:welcome: to the HUBB. Those two planned trips sound great. I have it on the back burner to go to Scotland and Ireland, maybe one day... The Adriatic is fantastic, great roads but just a little too much traffic in Summer unfortunately. Try to go in May or September if you can. Oh and if you're riding through Switzerland (Lac Léman area) drop me a line, I'd be happy to show you my adopted motorcycle paradise :thumbup1: and share a beer or two beerbeer |
Hi,
Scotland scenery is awesome in summer time, best light I've seen in my life, been there twice and can't wait to go back. Plus I really enjoy the scottish ale beer Agreed for the crowded Adriatic, but I intent to go in October. Because I think it's absurd to go south in summer, espacially when wearing leather pants and jacket :freezing: Thanks for the invitation but my route will pass via the Constance Lake (which I don't know yet) that time. I've already seen the Léman several time and I shall return there some time. |
Bonjour, Greg, welcome from northern Italy.
