G'day all,

I was led to this forum by a fellow Aussie who is also a fellow Far Rider(Aust Long Distance club) and IBA member.

I am looking at starting my journey into motor bike travel in other countries and my first aim is kind of local in S.E. Asia ..... in particular Indonesia because I can already speak that language and have a few contacts there.

What I don't have yet is the knowledge of bikes, ferries, etc and I guess that is where a site like this will become invaluable to me.

I will lurk a lot and ask some really good Noob questions ( read: some stupid questions that even a noob should know!! doh

anyway I look forward to learning more and also being able to answer questions for people wanting to come to Australia.
