about that enfield
what would someone who has ridden the enfield in india before recommend taking with them to work on the bike, or bring as assurance. Tools? special gear? Or is everything better to get when I arrive in India?

As far as the tools and materials are concerned, You will get it all in India.
No real need to buy and haul tools all the way. N by far bullet is one of the most simplest bikes to work on , so cool, n welcome to India. Drop me a note if you are coming to Pune(near Bombay 180kms) Red Bull |
Take riding gear if you need it (although with Indian temperatures you don't need much). Good quality helmets and jackets are not really available there.
Also things like socket sets are difficult to find and many of the tools you can buy in the market are of dubious quality. Sean |
Bullets are a weird mix of metric, whitworth and imperial. The bike comes with a pretty good toolkit which covers most eventualities but I`d add a quality adjustable spanner, some pliers (or leatherman) and a couple of 20 amp fuses (glass tube type). Another tip, I`d say the biggest reason for Enfields stopping altogether is bad earths, might be worth remembering!
