Bike and guide hire in south India
 

Will be in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in February, 2008. Anyone know if it's possible to rent a motorcycle and a guide to tour the south of India? I'll be starting out of Kochi.

You could try get some info from Indian touring groups such as bikenomads

You could get enough help to not need a guide

Problem is, most people either start out of Mumbai, Delhi or Goa - you'd get info rather more easily if you were to start from there.

i will contact the bikenomad people. flights already booked into kochi so that has to be the starting point. i will be going through pondicherry and chennai later on, so perhaps there are bike rentals there.
