Bikes getting into Burma
 

I have just read on another forum about a group who took four big cc bikes into Burma I wonder if this is a sign that the borders are opening up , great news if it is .....

I guess it is. We are planning to cross Burma with our bike in November this year. At the embassy in Paris we have just been told to write a letter explaining our travel. Now we are waiting for the answer of the ministry of tourism.

Scroll down about 10 threads on this forum, and you should find a thread titled “Myanmar with big bikes - it is possible!“ (Post #43 there is very interesting). But although some changes are emerging, I still would not hold my breath that borders are really opening up (I mean the way they are open in Thailand, for example).
