Buying bikes in Jakarta
 

Hi All,

Have trawled the site looking for info on buying bikes in Indonesia. Have not found anything. A friend of mine and I want to purchase a local (ie 100cc Honda) and ride from Jakarta to Medan (over 3 weeks in June 2004)and then sell them. Any tips hints?

I am relocating to Jakarta next week.Did you guys come accross any 4x4 groups on your travels?

Hi Tony,

Did not meet any organised 4x4 groups whilst there, however most drive 4x4's because the roads are so bad in many areas. Can only vouch for Sumatra. Top spot by the way.
