Carnet for Nepal?

Hi!

I just receved a message that I will need a carnet to get in to Nepal with a motorbike. Does anyone know if this also is the case if the bike is purchased in India? I purchased my Enfield new from a dealer so all the papers are in my name if this makes any difference? Since I'm heading for Nepal in the next few days I got worried and hope that somone can give me some clarity in whats needed.

Thanks in advance / Roran

I know I replied direct to you by email, but thought I'd reply on here for anyone else who has the same question.
No you don't need a carnet for an Indian registered bike (you do for any others), but you do have to pay a small import fee, about 380IRs/week.
