crossing from Iran to Turkey
 

Hello there,
Im in Esfahan now and plan to cross into Turkey next weekend at the Zarbagan/Dobuyazet border. Any info on security situation and opening/closing issues?
Appreciate your input and advices.

Hello ,
we did`t it 4 weeks ago in the other direction. No problems at the border. Be aware of the "fixers", you can do it alone, we need 1,5 hours with 2 bikes.
There are some military check on the road from Erzurum to Dogubayazit, but harmless. Police make speed controls , you have (or not) to pay in the next 4 weeks, not cash at check point. For the highways you need a patch on the bike , also for the bridges in Istanbul.

Hi There,
I have safely entered Turkey on 13 Nov 2015 and now in Malatya, Turkey. Next will be moving towards Capadocia. Will spend sometime in turkey before enter Europe.
I am hoping to do lots of camping while in Turkey though the weather may be abit not on my side. Will try.
